To ensure the handover is as smooth as possible, our complimentary five-day Bentley Drive Away Insurance means you don’t have to wait a minute longer and can start exploring the extraordinary capabilities of your car the moment you step inside.

Whilst your Bentley should be in peak condition, our cover includes any repairs needed within the first five days of ownership. Only Bentley Genuine Parts will be used for maximum safety, reliability, and authenticity. Plus, all repairs are carried out by Bentley-trained Technicians at Authorised Bentley Repairers, ensuring your car remains 100% Bentley.

As part of your application, you will also receive an annual quotation giving you the option to purchase our 12-month Bentley Motor Insurance cover, continuing your peace of mind for every adventure that’s yet to come.

Our upfront agreed value cover means you will always receive the full sum insured with no excess, not a depreciated market value. You could also receive up to 150% of the agreed value with our extended replacement cover. And when driving abroad, you can rest assured that you have full cover included at no extra cost. We are also here to support you on your journey to electrification. We cover your hybrid Bentley’s electric battery and charging cables, plus, we will provide a generator if weather events cut off power to your home for more than 24 hours.

What is Drive Away Insurance?

You won’t want to wait when it comes to collecting your new Bentley - with our five days’ complimentary Bentley Drive Away Insurance you don’t have to. With the purchase of a new or Approved Pre-Owned Bentley you can benefit from five days’ complimentary insurance cover. Simply activate online or by phone, and drive away with ease knowing your new Bentley is in expert hands.

Who is Drive Away Insurance designed for?

Bentley Drive Away Insurance is only available to customers who have purchased a new or Approved Pre-Owned Bentley from a Bentley Retailer.

Does it cost anything to activate Drive Away Insurance?

Bentley Drive Away Insurance is a complimentary product, providing eligible customers with comprehensive insurance cover for five days.

There is no insurance premium payable, however, in the event of a claim, excesses apply as follows:

  • Standard excess: Based on vehicle value, starting at £250 – please refer to your policy schedule
    Glass excess: £75
  • Young driver excess (aged 21-24): £200
    Additional young driver excess for accidental damage claims are in addition to the standard excess.
  • Additional vehicle terms and excesses may also apply – please refer to your policy schedule for further information.
  • You will not need to pay an excess if your Bentley is a total loss; is locked in your declared garaging address at the time of the covered theft or attempted theft; is in the care of a garage or similar motor trade organisation for servicing, restoration or repair; or is in the care of a hotel or restaurant valet service for the purpose of parking.

When can I activate Drive Away Insurance?

Your Bentley retailer will provide you with the information you need in order to activate cover prior to arranging collection of your new Bentley.

When will I receive my confirmation of cover?

Once you have activated your Bentley Drive Away Insurance, your confirmation of cover will be emailed to you. If you haven’t received your confirmation of cover within 24 hours, please contact us. You will not be covered until you have received this.

What are the key eligibility criteria for this cover?

  • The main driver must be the owner and registered keeper of the vehicle, or their spouse/partner (unless the vehicle is leased from a finance company)
  • All drivers must not have had insurance declined, cancelled or terms imposed
  • All drivers must have no unspent non-motoring convictions
  • All drivers must not have been declared bankrupt within the last 10 years
  • All drivers must not have entered into an individual Voluntary Agreement within the last 10 years
  • All drivers must have no notifiable medical conditions or disabilities that must be declared to the DVLA
  • The vehicle(s) are registered in the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man)

Repairs

What is a Bentley Recommended Repairer?

Repairing a Bentley and retaining the integrity of its unique and inherent characteristics is a job that requires a commensurate level of understanding, care and skill. Bentley recommends specialist independent repairers for body and paint services to its national network of Bentley retailers and customers.

These facilities have to meet the strict Operating Standards determined by Bentley. These standards are updated as technical developments are made within the vehicle range and are based on the qualitative processes and workmanship expected by Bentley.

A Bentley Recommended Repairer must consistently maintain their compliance with the required training, tooling and equipment standards as well as adhering to the repair processes as set out by Bentley AG for the repair of its vehicles. All of the repair facilities are independently audited and continuously monitored for compliance to the Bentley Body and Paint Operating Standards by Bentley.

When repairing your vehicle, Bentley Genuine Parts will be fitted, meaning that your Bentley remains a Bentley. The repairs will be warranted by the Recommended Repair facility against poor workmanship for a minimum period of 36 months, or the unexpired period of the Warranty appropriate to the vehicle at the time of the original registration, whichever is longer.

Every Bentley Genuine Part fitted to your Bentley by a Bentley Recommended Repairer comes with a two-year Bentley Parts Warranty.

Most insurers will aim to use their preferred repairer network, who may repair your vehicle using non-genuine parts. The use of inferior parts can cause damage to your vehicle and may also compromise your safety and that of your passengers.

You may cancel your Drive Away policy at any time. As it is complimentary cover, you will not be entitled to any refund.
